Aparajita National Girl Child Day

The country celebrates “National Girl Child Day” every year on January 24. It was started by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Government of India in 2008. It is celebrated to ensure that the girls in the country are supported and are guided in their journey towards equality.

 The main objective is:

 •  To spread awareness among people about all the inequalities faced by girls in the country.

•   To promote awareness about the rights of a girl child.

•    To increase awareness on the importance of girl’s education, health, and nutrition.

APARAJITA SOCIETY, a Regd. Organisation under Society Registration Act, shall be celebrating the day on January 24, 2021 to spread awareness among people about all the inequalities girls face in the Indian society. Various programs including social work helping underprivileged section, awareness campaigns on Save the girl child, child sex ratios, and creating a healthy and safe environment for a girl child has been arranged.

Following Activities have been planned by the Aparajita Society in the Amphitheatre of Swarna Jayanti Park at Indirapuram, Ghaziabad:

1.            Art Exhibition: Participations by special children (who are mentally / physically challenged) to showcase their Talent. Theme of the art /painting is “Save The Girl Child”.

2.            Activities for underprivileged children like drawing competition/games, Magic Show, Puppet Show etc. Food packets will be distributed to all underprivileged children

3.            Distribution of blankets, Masks, Sanitizers  to underprivileged children by Aparajita Society
